The Dixie Center in conjunction with The RussTown Band presents a new chamber music group to North Louisiana. RussTown Band Director Lawrence Gibbs presents “The Woodwind Arts Quintet” in Recital on Sunday afternoon September 15th at 3:00p.m on the Dixie Stage. The concert is free to the public. The Quintet would like to ask for donations to help with the preservation of the interior of the Dixie Center. Donation boxes will be in the lobby. This new chamber group is based on the Woodwind Trio formed in 2017. The chamber music quintet is made up of member of the Monroe Symphony and RussTown Band among other performing groups. Members include, Lawrence Gibbs, Clarinet - Amy Crittenden, flute - Karissa Geis, oboe, - John Robken, bassoon - and Derek Crockett, French Horn. The program will include a variety of music from classical to jazzy. If you are a school band musician or University Music student, this is a rare chance to see the Woodwind Quintet!!!
