Linda Dwyer, a local Christian artist paints to inspire and bring joy to others. She creates abstracts, angels, florals, acrylic pours and landscapes using mixed media on canvas. Linda prays over each blank canvas and then paints from the heart. A small cross is painted on the painting for each viewer to find, like hidden treasures. Art lovers from all around the country have purchased her paintings.
Kimber Hanchey, began painting Angels for Team Seth after her son Seth was injured by a motor vehicle while training for a triathlon. Seth was a nursing student and avid athlete. He was hit on his bike, died twice on the scene and was airlifted to LSU Shreveport where he underwent emergency surgery to remove the left side of his skull to accommodate the brain swelling. Unexpected to live through the night and five subsequent months in the hospital, Seth miraculously returned home. Rated the lowest possible rating for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), doctors said that he would never run, use his right hand, cognitively understand communication, never experience humor or have expression. But God had other plans. One and a half years after the accident, Seth ran a 5k. Today Seth can do all of the above and most recently competed in the Special Olympics in Seattle. Seth has been featured in an issue of ESPN, as well as a video interview. He is a living, breathing miracle and now Kimber and Seth help others with TBI through the sale of her paintings and Team Seth. View Seth Hanchey’s story on ESPN at http://bit.ly/espn_sethhanchey
Janice Holbron always had an interest in painting and crafting. After retiring from her nursing career Janice was encouraged to paint by a dear friend. A love and fascination for angels led her to painting these beautiful creatures. She doesn’t know what her Guardian Angel, or any angel, looks like but hopes they approve of her interpretation on canvas.
Connie Gardner creates for, and manages, Hands of Grace. Her hand built stoneware pottery is both functional and decorative and will make the perfect Christmas gift.
