The Protective Measures Course (PMC) provides participants with a basic understanding of how to identify risks and vulnerabilities to a facility, determine additional security needs for a special event/public gathering, and identify and apply physical and procedural protective measures to mitigate the threat of an improvised explosive device (IED) or a vehicle-borne IED. The course is designed for public and private sector security personnel at the executive, management and operations level to include public safety, emergency managers and special event security professionals.
