The Masters are back! “Masters of Soul,” a tribute to the music of Motown, is coming to the Lincoln Parish Library on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. The performance will feature many of the greatest hits from the legendary Motown era. This event is free and open to the public, so if your soul moves and grooves to Motown music, this will be the place to be! In the early 60's, some of the most iconic names in the history of popular music were discovered in the Motor City, better known simply as Motown. “Masters of Soul” is a celebration of these artists, their music, and their style. The show features stylishly costumed, fully choreographed tributes to both male and female groups of the era. The dynamic vocalists of “Masters of Soul” are backed by a band of seasoned musicians who have been performing together for decades. The audience will take the ultimate stroll down memory lane as they relive, or discover for the first time, the incredible harmonies and smooth moves made famous by many of the greatest recording acts of all-time, including The Temptations, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, The Four Tops, Diana Ross & The Supremes, The Jackson Five, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Stevie Wonder, The Commodores and many more! This high-energy show is perfect for audiences of all ages.
