Leadership Lincoln XXXI, 2017-18
Leadership Lincoln encourages our participants to ask the questions “why” and “how” as we look at all facets of our community and region. Our goal is to help the participants acquire a better knowledge of the community’s strengths and challenges. Leadership Lincoln’s mission is quite simple… to develop the leadership skills and qualities within our students so they will become well-rounded leaders in their workplace, their church, a civic organization and/or local government.
Each month has a different focus:
September - Team Building at The OWL Center
October - Healthcare/Social Services
November - Government/Judicial
December - Education
January - Economic/Workforce Development
February - Industry
March - Media/Diversity
April - Tourism
May - Northern Exposure in Baton Rouge
"Leadership Lincoln is an extraordinary opportunity to gain first hand knowledge of the region's assets. Whether it's the Team-Building class at the OWL Center, touring the hospital, courthouse, museums and local factories, or just working as a cohesive team to complete their class volunteer project, these students will cherish their time together and the new lifelong bonds they have formed. Look for each of these graduates to do great things in their lives.
I am extraordinarily proud of the Chamber staff and its ability to offer such a consistently fine program year after year!" ~ Immediate Past Chamber Chair, Patrick Blanchard
