Relive the magic of folk music of the 1960’s with the award-winning group, A Band Called Honalee. Inspired by the timeless music of Peter, Paul, and Mary, A Band Called Honalee focuses on the uniquely American heritage of folk music and how it brings together the people in our world. The musicians in A Band Called Honalee are all solo artists in their own right, but their passion for folk music lead them to collaborate to bring back interest in this ageless tradition. They have recorded several times and continue to offer concerts across the country as an outreach to fans and a way to foster young artists to continue writing, singing, and playing the music that is so close to their hearts. Their efforts have garnered them some regard for excellence in folk, particularly from The Folk Connection (bostonpete.com). This event is free and open to the public and suitable for all ages, so feel free to bring the family and remember the love for this authentic American tradition.
